September Board Minutes
St. John School Board Meeting September 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m St. John Church Basement Meeting was brought to order by Father Bormann. Present were Lynn Miller, Father Bormann, Lisa Merron, David Lappe and Denise Gisch. Absent Linda Lavrenz. Others present Jan Deitering, Bob Deitering and Charlie Kennedy. Father said opening prayer. New member David Lappe was welcomed. Electing of President and Vice President was held. Father nominated Lisa Merron as president seconded by David Lappe. Father motioned nomination cease with no further nomination Denise Gisch second. All ayes. Lisa Merron new president. Father nominated Denise Gisch for vice president, David Lappe second. Lisa Merron motioned nomination cease with no further nomination. All ayes. Denise Gisch vice president. Administration Report: Discussed Diocesan Report and APR, fall enrollment with 39 students. Discussed bussing non-district students who get reimbursed from Algona district. Also discussed STO- Monsignor Lafferty Tuition assistance, mission child and collection of pop tabs. Old business: Technology-received new digital camera with grocery store receipts, new school web address and St. John Corner that grade 3 and 4 are doing. Next few board meetings will be set the first Wednesdays of the month, November 5 and 7:00 p.m. and December 3 at 7:00 p.m. Discussed needing Bazaar chairmen, marketing and developing meeting through Diocese-possibly with Nov. 5th board meeting. Father said closing prayer. Denise Gisch motion to adjourn second by David Lappe. Meeting adjourned at 8:30. |
